Infants

From 6 Weeks

Our youngest children are lovingly cared for in the Infant Group, spending most of their day in the Cottage—a welcoming, cosy, and relaxed space designed especially for children under 12 months.

Each child’s individual needs are met according to their own routines, while our degree-qualified Infant Early Childhood Teacher provides engaging learning and developmental experiences tailored to their unique growth. We nurture their self-help skills, particularly in eating and drinking, laying the foundation for their emerging sense of self.

Our consistent team of dedicated staff brings well over 50 years of combined experience, with most educators working 4-5 days a week to provide continuous and familiar care.

When infants begin to walk confidently, transition to a single midday nap, and are emotionally ready for a larger environment, they move seamlessly to the Pre-Toddlers group, where their next developmental journey begins.

Pre-Toddlers

From 12-18 Months to 24 Months

Our Pre-Toddler group warmly welcomes children who are confidently walking but not yet two years old and typically take one midday nap. This nurturing program is led by a degree-qualified Early Childhood Education Teacher who thoughtfully tailors activities based on each child’s interests, learning, and developmental needs. We support the growth of their self-help skills, building their confidence to try new things and fostering their self-esteem, sense of self and pride in their blossoming independence.

Here, children are encouraged to sit at the table and feed themselves, developing their autonomy, while resting on a mattress on the floor helps promote self-reliance and ease transitions. When a child turns two or is developmentally ready to move to the Toddler group, we carefully guide their transition to join older children, ensuring a smooth and supported journey to their next stage of learning.

Toddlers

2-3 Years

Our Toddlers are the eldest children at our Infant Toddler Centre on Druid Ave in Stirling. Throughout the day, they are thoughtfully divided into smaller groups based on their age, providing multiple  opportunities for quality learning experiences with their educators. A degree-qualified Early Childhood Education Teacher designs the educational program based on the Early Years Learning Framework and Reggio Emilia principles. Supported by a team of Diploma-qualified educators, this curriculum offers a rich and engaging environment for growth and exploration. Many of our Toddler team educators have over five years of experience with us, bringing a wealth of knowledge from both long day care and family day care settings.

Transitioning to the Early Learning Centre (ELC) on Mount Barker Rd is a significant milestone for our Toddlers. They move in two waves each year: one at the start of the school year and a smaller group at the beginning of Term 3. This transition instills a sense of achievement in the children as they move up to “Big Ranges” preparing them for the significant step to Primary School. Over three weeks, the children are gently introduced to the ELC teachers, educators, and environment, while still being supported by their familiar and beloved educators from the Infant Toddler Centre, ensuring a smooth and confident transition.

Preschool

4-6 Years

Our government Universal Access approved preschool program is delivered by a degree-qualified Early Childhood Teacher at our Early Learning Centre (ELC) on Mount Barker Rd, Stirling. This program provides a more flexible option than the restrictive hours of government kindergartens, accommodating children in the year before they attend school. With full-day hours, it also better meets the needs of working parents.

Our teacher leads a comprehensive, play-based educational program that fosters a lifelong love of learning and prepares your child for a seamless transition to school. Based on the Early Years Learning Framework and influenced by Reggio Emilia educational principles, the program is guided by lines of inquiry developed by the children themselves. Regular assessments of each child’s learning and development are shared with families through face-to-face interviews and updates to their online documentation portfolio.

We maintain strong relationships with local schools and kindergartens, working closely with them to ensure a smooth transition for each child to their next educational environment.
