At The Ranges Early Learning & Care Centres, we nurture each child’s strong potential for development in a warm and creative environment. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach, our philosophy recognises every child as a unique individual, learning through exploration, expression, and relationships. Our educators bring warmth, care, and professionalism to every interaction, fostering curiosity, creativity, strong sense of self, and a lifelong love of learning.
We prioritise warm and authentic relationships with your child, practicing The Circle of Security, which positions your child to feel supported to reach their full potential
Junior pre-school
3-4 Year Olds
Our Junior Preschool caters for the children aged 3-4 years and is led by degree qualified Early Childhood Education Teacher based at our ELC on Mount Barker Rd Stirling.
The Program is play based following the Early Years Learning Framework and Reggio Emilia principles that incorporate the children’s interests. Regular assessment of each child’s learning and development is undertaken and shared with the family via written reports, face to face interviews and updates to their online documentation portfolio.
Throughout the year the Junior Preschool is normally split into two smaller groups for the meeting times with the Teacher and deeper understanding of the group inquiry projects. These groups are split mainly on age to meet the developmental requirements of the children but can be adjusted to meet individual needs.
There are plenty times throughout the day where the children are able to choose between indoor and outdoor activities that are based around their developmental needs.
Preschool
4-6 Years
Our government Universal Access approved preschool program is delivered by a degree-qualified Early Childhood Teacher at our Early Learning Centre (ELC) on Mount Barker Rd, Stirling. This program provides a more flexible option than the restrictive hours of government kindergartens, accommodating children in the year before they attend school. With full-day hours, it also better meets the needs of working parents.
Our teacher leads a comprehensive, play-based educational program that fosters a lifelong love of learning and prepares your child for a seamless transition to school. Based on the Early Years Learning Framework and influenced by Reggio Emilia educational principles, the program is guided by lines of inquiry developed by the children themselves. Regular assessments of each child’s learning and development are shared with families through face-to-face interviews and updates to their online documentation portfolio.
We maintain strong relationships with local schools and kindergartens, working closely with them to ensure a smooth transition for each child to their next educational environment.
