Ranges
From 6 Weeks to 3 Years
At The Ranges Early Learning & Care Centres, we nurture each child’s strong potential for development in a warm and creative environment. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach, our philosophy recognises every child as a unique individual, learning through exploration, expression, and relationships. Our educators bring warmth, care, and professionalism to every interaction, fostering curiosity, creativity, strong sense of self, and a lifelong love of learning.
We prioritise warm and authentic relationships with your child, practicing The Circle of Security, which positions your child to feel supported to reach their full potential
Infants
From 6 Weeks
Our youngest children are lovingly cared for in the Infant Group, spending most of their day in the Cottage—a welcoming, cosy, and relaxed space designed especially for children under 12 months.
Each child’s individual needs are met according to their own routines, while our Diploma qualified Infant Early Childhood Educator provides engaging learning and developmental experiences tailored to their unique growth.
We nurture their self-help skills, particularly in eating and drinking, laying the foundation for their emerging sense of self.
Our consistent team of dedicated staff brings well over 50 years of combined experience, with most educators working 4-5 days a week to provide continuous and familiar care.
When infants begin to walk confidently, transition to a single midday nap, and are emotionally ready for a larger environment, they move seamlessly to the Pre-Toddlers group, where their next developmental journey begins.
Pre-Toddlers
12-24 Months
Our Pre-Toddler group warmly welcomes children who are confidently walking but not yet two years old and typically take one midday nap. This nurturing program is led by a Diploma qualified Early Childhood Educator who thoughtfully tailors activities based on each child’s interests, learning, and developmental needs.
We support the growth of their self-help skills, building their confidence to try new things and fostering their self-esteem, sense of self and pride in their blossoming independence.
Here, children are encouraged to sit at the table and feed themselves, developing their autonomy, while resting on a mattress on the floor helps promote self-reliance and ease transitions.
When a child turns two or is developmentally ready to move to the Toddler group, we carefully guide their transition to join older children, ensuring a smooth and supported journey to their next stage of learning.
Toddlers
2-3 Years
Our Toddlers are the eldest children at our Infant Toddler Centre on Druid Ave in Stirling. Throughout the day, Toddlers are split into 2 groups, Toddlers (2-2.5 years) and Early Leaners (2.5-3 years) lead by an degree qualified Early Childhood Teachers in each space. This provides multiple opportunities for quality learning experiences with their educators.
A degree-qualified Early Childhood Education Teacher designs the educational program based on the Early Years Learning Framework and Reggio Emilia principles. Supported by a team of Diploma-qualified educators, this curriculum offers a rich and engaging environment for growth and exploration.
Many of our Toddler team educators have over five years of experience with us, bringing a wealth of knowledge from both long day care and family day care settings.
Transitioning to the Early Learning Centre (ELC) on Mount Barker Rd is a significant milestone for our Toddlers. The transition happens 4 times a year which is in line with school term. This transition instills a sense of achievement in the children as they move up to “Big Ranges” preparing them for the significant step to Primary School. Over three weeks, the children are gently introduced to the ELC teachers, educators, and environment, while still being supported by their familiar and beloved educators from the Infant Toddler Centre, ensuring a smooth and confident transition.
